Finals approaching fast  , not enough work done  , too much to do in the time... yada yada yada... you know the feeling :)

So I'se feeling stressed. More than ever before in my little life. Living back with the folks doesn't help much, and I just lost the ability to go out on a relaxing cruise around. :(

Alcohol? Nah, need a clear head for work.
Masturbation? Nah - if you combine the level of stress relief needed with the progressively longer amount of time needed for each one, it would take too long, and the time loss would make me more stressed than the initial stress. :) Plus my knob'd drop off.
Denial? Not working very well.
Fatalism? If I fail... shame, become a recluse, not an option - plus I wouldn't be able to afford another 200...

Any ideas to ease my stress?!? Chairs :)

(how about offering a certain good well-paid job to a potentially failed student? ;) :D )

Whip out the local rag, find the dodgyest looking massage parlour, and pay them a visit! :D You'll be suprised how far a student loan goes these days. If you're lucky you might even get a student discount!

Best thing i ever found for stress relief is..... . .

Pilot Wings 64 on the Nintendo 64.

I havent played it for ages, but last time i did, all my cares just floated away as i soared among the clouds, a celestial path i carved.... Hehe.
If you havent got that, then i find looking into the night sky helps. My mind seems to wonder about the Stars, which then gets me into "Universe" mode. From then on in i ponder on the hugeness of it all, and how insignificant we really are... Makes me chill out like never before. Finally, watch Forest Gump. Also makes you realise your issues are only a small hill that needs climbing. :)

Any help?

Paz

Get yourself a mountain bike, find a narrow, twisty, bumpy track and hurl yourself down it. Nothing like it to de-stress yourself. The same effect can be had from similar adrenalin sports, but this is probably the most intense that you can attain easily.

you completely clear your head because your mind is too busy saving your arse to worry about issues like exams, disertations, nagging olds etc.

There have been times afterwards when I get flashbacks everytime I shut my eyes.... :)

Get yourself a whore. No strings attached and none of the baggage a girlfriend brings... well some maybe ;)

 :D

Got the MTB already :) But I;m too darn fat to any proper riding ;) after weeks of eating and revising and not exercising. The only problem is that about a year ago I hurled myself down a hill on it and came off it, and I don't want to be on Valium again to do the finals!! :D

What d'ya ride, Ben? I've got a Stumpjumper (circa 2001ish). :)

Get youself some boots and a rucksack and all the other f@cking paraphernalia for keeping yourself alive (just in case) and walk 20 miles over some mountains and stuff. Calms me down no end.

Failing that get a full-bore rifle licence, get in a club and shoot some targets a long long way away. Amazing how relaxing that is.

Failing that antmcp's suggestion is just fine.

I used to love going down the beach for a surf when I still lived in Devon, now I just go to the pub, have a few beers and think about how much fun I could be having if I had the available resources and lack of ties as Antmcp.. heh heh.

Like your style, Ben, man after my own heart. The rush you get from putting your arse on the line is about the only thing that makes me feel alive these days.

Tombs - I've got the Scott Comp Racing (2000). I'd love a full-susser, but they cost so damn much and the thrill wouldn't be any more enjoyable. Look good in my lounge though....

Luckily I haven't hurt myself too badly over the years, but I have witnessed a few messy stacks:eek: Maybe you need body armour - I know a guy who uses it and he reckons he feels invincible in it - but then he is responsible for most of the accidents I've seen:D

Clong - Same wave length mate - YEAHH!!
