Years ago, before cameras and EU rules meant that UK cars could be traced in France, I was pursued along a Nationale (A) road by two gendarmes in a Renault 4 cos I was speeding. I was in a Renault 21 Turbo at the time and allowed them to catch up before booting it and leaving them in a trail of dust :D :D :D

Yesterday, driving through Normandy however, I was overtaken by a BMW M5. Thought about racing it then saw the driver was in full bacon uniform. How times change :(

A good lawyer could have them for entrapment if they entice you into speeding, like by driving close behind you.
