Question from Sweden about S15 UK sold

Hello all.

I would like to know if the Nissan S15 was sold by Nissan Dealers in the UK?

I am asking because i want to know if the S15 has EU approval (which it normally has if it was imported by dealers).

no, nissan didn't want us to have the s15, but people have sneaked them into the country without nissan knowing :D

i think the importers take care of the UK legalities.

That what i feared.

Case is that i have a S15 Spec-R Aero and i am soon to get it registered in Sweden but it would have been easier if it was sold in the UK by dealers. Then it would have to have been EU approved.

If its approved in the UK, its EU approved too. The EU rules are the worst part of importing Jap cars to the UK these days.

Yes, i know that it is ok in the EU. BUT in Sweden we have some additional rules which is strange but at the moment that is nothing to discuss. If the car had been sold by UK dealers the car would have had an EU-Type number which would have allowed me to refer to that to skip the aditional rules at our registration.

What do you do to get the car approved in Sweden? We have just about the same rules over here (Iceland)
