Hi Bren,

I've bagged everything up, rails and bonnet pins and am calling city link tomorrow morning to get them back to you everything is 100% there.

If you could send out the replacement bonnet pins asap I would be greatful. The bonnet edges have a tendency to want to lift at the corners I have noted. Anyone who puts a CF bonnet on should 100% put pins on as well. Regardless of what speeds they are doing or the application in my opinion.

Going to pootle back down the motorway tonight gently ! its as tight a fit as I can get but like I say it likes to move still at the corner edges :) its the first time she's been fired up in nigh on two months. :ghey:

Totally agree - fitted my carbon bonnet on the other day and the passenger side front of the bonnet seems to lift up quite a bit even when fully closed. Going to have to get my bonnet pins on quickly - just don't want to do it myself  Given up trying to get it to sit flush for now as well - can't quite get the gap between the wings even.

I'm sending mine to franks for the drilling of the carbon bonnet next friday if Bren and I manage to exchange parcels in time. Yes one side is a little uneven to the other but I managed to space mine out correctly. Its mainly due to the flex that the fibre has I think.

On mine the drivers side is slightly higher at the front that the passengers side.

Don't forget Bond you can wind out and in the bump stops to take any slack or movement out of the bonnet for the time being.

What pins did you go for in the end then?

Lenagh

Bren sent me some stainless steel sparco ones I think in the end.

I got the body shop doing the pins as its not a simple job to do properly.

To be honest I forgot about the refund until I came accross the box again today :o

Sorry :o

We have turned the unit upside down and are shifting everything round this week to make some more room. However as a result we are a bit ass int he air at the moment and getting orders etc sorted at the same time is an utter mare

You refund has been done now though and will shown up in your account in two working days, i.e. Friday. :)

Jolly,

They dont have any wires

Thanks Bren I really appreciate all your help on this one. Its gone into franks now and we are making a completely custom subframe from steel, then he's painting it all up. Should mean the car looks really good tho :)

I shall be after you for roll cages next I imagine ;)

Have a happy xmas !

You will have been sent alloy ones. I realised the other ones would rust when I saw a Subaru with rusty pins  The alloy ones come with a blue cardboard backing.
