hi, i have 2 s13's at the mo one road legal and one well on blocks after an acident...... i want to rebuild the car but do drift cars have to be road legal as i was thinking of choping the tailgate off as its fooked and also the roofline has a mayjor dent in it, can this car be drifted at events without mot or anything liek that?
different organisers have different 'official' regulations but from what iv seen anything goes as long as it doesnt look like its going to be dangerous and invalidate someones (event organisers) insurance! chopped tailgate style should look 'orimental'!

The organisers generally vary from 'must be to road legal' to ' must appear to be road worthy'.;)
Drift pick up!
along as its all looking nice it'll be on, basically would you drive it down the road (sensibly) and get pull over by the police for it looking up road worthy?

* PROJECT DRIFT PICKUP * lol
Be aware that next year there may be rules like in rally where the car must be taxed and have an MOT. This is not 100% but just be aware.

lots off :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:
then  jobs a gudun!
My main concern would be that the roof makes up for an awful lot of the cars structual strength and removing it, espeacially for drifting would have to be a really well thought out operation...

Wasn't there an S13 pickup in Japanese Performance or Banzai some months back? The back of it was all done in that metal floor tiling you see in industrial places, metal where it's got bumps in so it's not all slippy.
that dent would pop out :) wouldnt look pretty but its a drift bitch so it dont matter

Yeah, that's Nick's. It's actually handles very well without half the roof
Should be seeing more of it in 2005 i believe
