Im lookin to purchase a 200sx made after the year 2000. I am confused as to the difference between the spec r's and the spec s's and the codes s15 s14 etc. Can someone tell me what they all mean, and a site i can go to to check out all of their individual specs? and some infomation on their 0-100 and 1/4 mile times?
Thanks all

the S15 is a beautiful car, although i'd have an R33 GTR for the money they can go for.
theres some basic info and background in a sticky thread on here FAQ's too i think. i'll get a link for you in a minute mate.

S14a is the 1996(?) to 2001 model, with the more aggressive headlights. S15 is the 2001-2003(?), import only model with the curvier front lights. S14as only come as a 2.0 turbo, but there's a normal one and touring which are just different equipment. S15s come in Spec R which is a 250bhp 2.0 turbo and Spec S which is a 160bhp iirc 2.0 NA. There's also the varietta which is a convertible 2.0 NA with an electric hardtop.
Too slow

this should give you some help :)
happy hunting fella
The S15's were available from 1999 and stopped production August 2002. All in UK are imports and there aren't many. I would reckon between 20-30 in the UK. Yes, the R33GTR would make better value for money, but with the S15 you would get exclusivity and with a couple of simple mods (induction, exhaust and ECU remap) could give you around the same straight line performance as a std R33GTR (the S15's only weigh 1240kgs, similar to the S14/a's I think). S15's, like S13/S14/a's are RWD.
The S14/a's are well good value for money - <2000 models go for <£8k generally, where as S15's cost more - £7-10k for a Spec S and £10-15k for a Spec R.
As I have a S15 I am biased - get one - they look great. With less cash, I would have an S14a without hesitation.
