Sorry Im gonna defend this one. They look good in a properly modded pc (same as with a tens of thousands of pounds modded car). The three black Civics in F&F dont tell me they didnt look hard as feck! Check this out for an example ....

and the next page for an example of how it can look.
Or this one ....

I would have probable left that statement alone after writing the first four words. :)
I can't believe that people do this to their PC, is it so you can check that the fans are still working coz you may cook something if their not. Or do actually think it looks good. If I want to see inside my computer, I use a screwdriver and thirty seconds later hey presto. I guess this down to personal taste, and maybe the decor of the room your PC is in. But there must be better ways of spending the cash. :D
I don't like it on cars either, the light effects that is. I used to think it was smart, even put one in the custom boot build in my escort. Til it got nicked, the car that is. I guess thats what unwanted attention brings.
Still, each to their own and all that.

As a system builder (PC's) I've been toying with the idea of modding my case. Not got round to it yet but yours looks good and I still intend to have a fiddle at some point. What case is (was) that anyway. Oh, as for the people who say "why bother", cos we like to tinker, high IQ and all that. :) :D :D
I have to defend bit-tech, only 'cause I've known Kna since I was 3 though. He & the others do because they love to take things apart, and to start with it was just a but getting more perfotrmance from the standard processer than was supposed to be had, a bit like us really.
and he's addicted to neon :D :D
The bit-tech site is actually getting it's logo on some product packaging now, and they get freebies sent to them to review, like the pentium 2.4ghz chip.
Note to moderators: any chance of us getting freebies from blitz, hks to review:D
Im a PC guy through and through. I have a nice tidy little Lian Li PC-60 at home (without NEON atm :p ) I love modding and bought a Dremel just for it. Comes in handy generally though. BTW, nice window fatty :)

I like a bit of modded lighted PC action for a couple of reasons. 1) At a 600-person lan party, it's nice to see a bit of colour.
2) You can use the PC for ambient light instead of relying on **** **** USELESS PIECE OF **** **** LIGHTS from B&Q which fail after 1 month with a ****ed transformer.
Jimbo,
Do you play CS at all???
Just curious
Dave
Can't say I've ever heard of it, what is CS?
I maywell know a few people you do, the only internet gaming I've done is a bit of mudding on the discworld. But that was awhile ago :)
I am a total luddite when it comes to pc's
Aaah thats ok then, just I played for a CounterStrike clan with a player called Jimbo and thought it was too much of a coincidence :)

The windows not just for looks, it's also so I can see if my proccesor is on fire:) This comp is Peltier and water cooled, it ran the 1.3 ghz chip at 1.8 ghz at -10 degrees. hence the big water pipes coming out the back and the 2 power supplys( and plenty of dodgy wiring)
Dstretch wat clan u in m8? and wat servers do u use?
I was in EUCTF / SM but I stopped playing a while back. Started again yesterday though :) I play mainly on the JoltUK Servers, esp [LoG] one. Look for CodeThief. I thought that looked water cooled. I've never had the guts to do it!!! I did buy a GF4 ti4600 though :)
