The British sense of humour can easily be demonstrated by looking at the
difference between the way both we and the Americans deal with Tourette's
Syndrome.
First take a look at the American site:

The British seem to take a slightly different approach to tourettes ...

A few patients with severe TS demonstrate self-harming behaviors such as lip and cheek biting and head banging against hard objects. However, these behaviors are extremely rare.
PML!!!
I thought that kind of behaviour was derigeur after 10 pints of Stella?!

Wow have you learnt english from Nathan200sx.. ;) :D :D
The only thing I seem to remember as publicity about this was that programme they did on the telly years ago, about that boy John who had his birthday cake covered up with clingfilm, (and the otherkids at his party aswell I think) to stop him gobbing over everyone and everything! BTW he did swear a bit as well!

Also Nirvana did a song called tourettes, strangely enough it was a bunch of swear words shouted really load, good track, the equivalent of 'Territorial Pissings' from Nevermind but on 'In Utero'.
Makes yer proud to be British dunnit?!
