View Full Version : s14 drifting
Is a standard s14 suitable for drifting? I fancy one as a track day car and am wondering if it will double up for some sideways fun!

Its ok I guess, but I would sort the diff and suspension.
Yep, I've got a standard one.
My first drift day highlighted the boat-like suspension. Blimey it doesn't half wallow all over the place but keep your boot in and it doesn't half go sideways too! :D
The soft suspension, fairly open diff and standard profile tyres make it quite snappy when transitioning, but I'd be a fool to suggest it's the cars fault! I'm going to keep it fairly standard until I'm more skilled and am better placed to judge what needs upgrading.
Get one, they're a great car.
Thanks AlexF, you sound like me!

Yes a standard S14 will be great fun ..
Oh and your not allowed to be called PhilipM!! that's my name :wack:
As said, suspension helps :D
Though Midgers has proved it's not essential to uprate. (Bastard:D)
