Seems alright to me, considering the protected NCB and the mods. :) What area - if you're not out in the sticks, then it's a very good price!

The best I could find was similar price to that, with Tescos...

'95 s14 standard
23yo
4 yrs NCB (unprotected :( )
out in't sticks ;)
fairly large excess (? ~£500)

But they'll rape my wallet hard  if I want to mod her at all... :( My mate was quoted £150 for just a backbox for his Scooby. I'd stick with someone mod-friendly (although Mr Flux hasn't got the best press ever).

they have underwriters on hand to give extra discounts, not just some idiot quoting screen prices, not sure if they cover modified cars though

I don't reckon that's bad Cookie. I'm 32 and sticks! and am paying £595 with Flux and I have the mods in my sig ALL declared!!!! plus a few other intended mods to save on the admin charges. They seem pretty good if you plan to mod your car as they only appear to load the policy for performance increasing parts and even then it's not much. Some companies will not let you go beyond zorst and filter. My old company said a BOV was classed as an engine mod and would invalidate my policy. So I changed to Flux!!!
