I'm going and will be driving there from Aylesbury too although i won't be up early enough as i'm only watching again. Hopefully i can sort my dodgy driving enough to enter next year.
I'll be there mid/late morning, spectating again. Driving up from Guildford.
Dammit need some more practise, want to enter Clubman next season!
Im driving up from Bracknell-Maidenhead-A404-M40 J4 then the usual way from there. Mav do you wanna come this way and we could meet up along the A404 somewhere?
I'll be there. Hoping for a wet track this time - I feel like using a bit of precision and finesse rather than just full throttle + full speed + full bravery for a change!

dtmpower, Passenger rides in what? Kiki's demo Option car or competitor practice rides? I know competitor practice rides includes what you call a pit pass and is £20, don't know if this is on top of the £10 normal spectating fee.

Do I need a suit, or jusdt a helmet and covered arms ok ? I am more than happy to pay the £10/£20/£30 if I can get a few rides. Who do I have to talk to and what time can I get there
IIRC to ride as a passenger in the practice laps, you need a helmet (limited number available with a deposit on the day, but don't rely on them unless you have to) and covered arms. I don't think you need a suit to sit in with practice runs.
Damn, my mates S14 turbo to exhaust manifold gasket is blowing :annoyed: hopefully we can get it sorted before Sunday.

Thats a long way round mate.
I will be going out through Caversham and Cane end and heading for Oxford (about 30 minutes run) then get on the A34 all the way to the M40, up one junction and come off at Cherwell Valley before heading upi the Silverstone bypass.
Leaving Reading at 7.
I'll be there. If it's still at Silverstone next year, I won't have to get up so early as I'm moving to Bicester :)

It only takes about 45mins-hour from Maidenhead. Going the A34 for me is a lot further :( guess i'll have to meet you there. Maybe convoy back?
Quick question... what time does the track action start and what time does the actual competition start?

I've got my engine, which is fine..... BUT the other bits I needed, I ordered last week Monday from Fensport, guess what, they only arrived bloody yesterday! Why??? cus it's me!
I needed a new oil pump for the oil cooler (which was broken by the bottom end blowing up), a sprigot bearing, new rad, new rear shocks, gasket for the water pump and some other little bits-n-bobs. I was hoping to get all this before yesterday so my mechanic could have fixed it all up and get the car ready, but cus it was so late in the day, he couldn't fix it due to other work in line before my car :furious:
So all in all, my AE86 won't be ready, SO I'm gonna turn up early with my Helmet :ghey: and hope to nag a few Passenger rides with a few of you guys (Phil & Paz) if you are there and anyone else willing to put a smile on my face :wack: via pass rides  :D

NON from option has told me if i turn up at 10am there wont be any pit passes or passenger places left, but if I can pay in advance it will be ok, but I cant get hold of option ??? Any ideas what to do, else I will just be a spectator. I cant arrive any earlier than 10am hence the problem
How do they know how many passenger seats will be available? Some people have no passenger seat, and some are unwilling to take passengers because they need to practice with the car as it will be for the comp, weight wise.
It doesn't make much difference to me, so a mate will be tipping up tomorrow as my passenger.
We could meet at the Holiday Inn near Watermead on the road to Buckingham.
is 7 alright?
I'll get there for 7, it should take well under an hour to get to Silvertsone, especially if you drive touge style. :D

Dont know what you could mean by that matey? perfect law abiding gentleman on the roads me :D :wack:
Should be down for 7 too, hope maccy's is open for breakie. However one one of our cars is NOT coming down. My mates S14 wasn't destined to get to Silverstone for his debut on track. Thanks to Bren at Apexperformance for keeping the parts required in stock, we fixed the exhaust to turbo gasket, what a twat of a job. But on firing up we noticed a leak on the turbo water inlet pipe, there is a crack at the banjo fitting and pipe joint GUTTED :furious: . So he is now going to be my passenger.
See you guys there!
