I bought this for my PS2 before the weekend and now I can't play it again today because my thumb tips ache like f**k!:D
This has to be one of the best PS2 games there is? I managed to unlock the "Rio" park so far.

Yeah I have nearly finished GT3. I have a couple of the F1 races to do and a couple of the longer endurance races to do when I get the time. I'd recommend WRC as another driving game too.

I'm having difficulty winning races on expert mode, its because of the tyre wear. What car did you use? I have to use my Skyline 1000+bhp just to keep up!

Big Red, Try the Vertigo, if you want good sensations, or if you just want to win (easilly :)), get the F1...

Cheers

I like the Mazda 787B. It sounds awesome and goes like feck. The R390 race car is pretty handy too.

Rockstar, give up with the Skylines. The ones in GT3 seem to chew tyres really bad. This is a shame as the GT+GT2 ones were quite handy. I can't remember what cars I used. I think the R390 road car was one of them and a TVR of some description. It is a case of picking or building a nice light car with medium to high power instead of heavy ones with big power. You can win races with lesser powered cars because you won't need to pit so many times as the faster cars. I remember a couple of the expert races came right down to the last finishing straight as they are so marginal.

Big Red,

I'll look through my garage and find a light car and give that a try!:D How do I win the GT40:D and Indy cars??

I can't remember exactly. I think you win the GT40 in one of the harder Seattle or Laguna Seca races. I don't have an Indy car yet? I have about 6 F1 cars. The problem is that more often than not the prize cars are on a carousel and you get the one your given. You can apparently hit the "X" button when the one you want is highlighted but it never worked for me. I can only assume the indy cars are in one of the races I have not completed yet? I did have a list of what race wins what car, I'll have a dig!

Has anyone tried TXRZ ? Tokyo X-treme Racer Zero? It's all about Wangan battling... racing on Tokyo's highways! Very very nice!

Tony Hawks RULES! Ive done all the stages, 9 of 9 but i cant win that damn Tokyo Level at all! I cant even get a bronze :(

As for GT3, ive given up racing (my old man wins all the money), i just buy lots of Nissans and Toyota's and turn them into drift cars (as you would expect from me :) )....

Tokyo Xtreme Race Zero is cool, but the graphics arent too hot, the Dreamcast version was the better game IMHO.

Other games i enjoy are Touge Max3, Battle Gear 2 (more Touge racing) and Wangan Midnight... They rule :)

I've tried Battle Gear, and it's not easy but it's a lot of fun. Touge Max 3 looks good, but unfortunately I can't play those games, since I have a European version of PS2. I've been wanting to get it chipped, but my local anime/manga store said they're not chipping anything anymore due to the fact that sony has sued the chip-manufacturer :P
