Hiya,

I have recently got one of brens "broken" exhuaust systems, now the mate that said he would sort it out for me has taken a look and doesnt want to take on the job. :annoyed:

I persoanally cant see it being too dificuilt, but then i cant weld myself

This is a pic of what i basicly need doing... the main problem is keeping the flanges at the same angle. I know im going to put the whole system about an inch out doing it like this, but I hope it will be close enough.

If anyone thinks they could have a go PLEASE contact me... Can pay.

Or even if you could suggest a CO. that might do it?

Pop up to Autocraft SVE (http://www.autocraftsve.co.uk) in Salisbury. They've repaired two of Bren's twin boxes.

cheers mate, i dropped you a PM actually and added you on MSN.

Do you know if they've fixed one like mine where the baffles inside are loose rather than (i think) where the acutall box is loose? will just make things easier if I knew so I could ring up and you had one of these before blah blah.

Yep. My baffle was broken. Its just one perferated pipe with loads of soundproofing and wire wool. Their welder is quite skilled and did a brilliant job. Took two hours to do mine.

They charge £35ph. If you were a club member, they would only charge £30ph (they'll ask to see you membership card). I'll PM you the names to mention if you give them a call.

Are you after someone to fabricate a tail pipe or to fix a rattling silencer?
I've got a M.I.G. welder and am pretty good at welding for MOT (I'm an ex-mechanic and ex-MOT tester). But if you want something fabricated I havent done that sort of stuff before. But if it's fairly simple and you've got the pipe and explain what you want I'll have a go!!!!!
I live just outside of Exeter.
Phil.

Dan's had this done now. It involved cutting a panel off the back box, repairing the pipe/baffle inside, then stainless welding the panel back again. Autocraft probably also fitted two strengthening tabs either side of the box to stop it sagging.
