want help getting off? Speak to me and i'll let you know what I think of your case.
By the way, I'm not legally qualified but combined with my own, my dads and a couple of friends (some on here) I think the score is 13-nil. The rozzas scoring nil that is.

I was all ready to cry for your help Pete, after doing around 100mph most of the way down the A14 on the way to the TSC. Dunno what those forward facing things are but they had me a bit worried!
Then I got flashed doing 40 in a 30 zone (thought it was 40 like every other village I had been through) on the way home, which was doubly freaky 'cos the camera facing the other way double flashed in my face almost immediately!
But that was nearly a month ago, so I believe they can go swivel...
Im sure they have to send you the summons within X amount of months?? I assume its six if its come through in five but its worth checking as you might find its three :)

14 days for a written or verbal Notice of intended proescution.
6 months for a summons.
After that they can go die.
Still there are many other tricks I have up my sleeve which might help people either get off or reduce the sentence . Let me know if anyone needs help. i can think of many occasions where I or others have got off on technicalities of which there are many. Let me know if you want help mr bean.

Sorry to hear about that Bean :(
Still, you were doing less over the limit than I was, and you were on the motorway and I was caught in a 30... so all things being equal you should get about 6 points unelss they get arsey and throw in a ban - but remember to beg and plead for the points instead
Turbo Pete, what would we do without you! :) ;)
Still counting, no more letters yet...

Heard recently from a guy in the police (no it wasn't Sting ;)) that if your NIP isn't delivered by registered post then you can just ignore it (claim that it got lost in the post/never arrived). Apparently the police will send it 3 times, usually by 2nd class post, and then just drop the case if you don't reply. This actually works out cheaper, and is less hassle, than using registered post. This was from an officer in Birmingham, not sure if it would work elsewhere.
Can anyone confirm??

That's just basic legal stuff really. I had a similar case when I was being evicted from a flat. The landlady's solicitor sent the eviction notice by normal mail which I ignored, so when the court summons arrived I told the magistrate I hadn't got the notice. The prosecution spent about half an hour convincing everyone that it had been posted, putting their own secretary on the stand and producing mailing records and everything, but the magistrate told them to stop wasting time and prove that I had received it or go away and do their job properly in future! Everyone in the court knew I was lying, but the onus of proof is on the prosecution so who cares?
:)
That's a good idea!
You can also claim it was a person from a third world country here on holiday test-driving your car because they wanted to buy it to export... so long as the camera didn't get your face! ;)
I am having a really 'S h i t' day so far.
I dropped the 200sx off at a Nissan dealer to have it's clutch done but had to wait 1.5 hours for a courtesy car. Stupid lady waddled in and gave Nissan the keys!!!
I have spend the morning sorting out a Solicitor.
I think I'm done now, just off to have a nervous breakdown!!! :(

Solicitor?
Don't bother.
i have everything you need.
All you need is a suit, a brain and balls.
Oh and a love of arguing that black is white and absolutly no fear of authority.
Yeeha.
fight it boy.

Thanks, but I'll stick with the Solicitor.
I don't fancy fighting the case on my own.
Thanks though, I do appreciate your help.

If you let me know some of the details I might be able to put forward some info/ideas for you to discuss with your solicitor. Experience counts for alot and although not a legal expert I can declare to be somewhat of an expert on the equipment they use, especially laser since i studied it at uni. the last time i used a solicitor he said "Don't bother coming next time, you already know all the legislation relating to these offences - and before you go can photocopy all the documents you have and some of those letters you have written". I was quite chuffed with the compliment.
Cheers

Thanks, I'll try and give you some information once I sorted out my clutch problem. :(
Perhaps you'd care to take a look at the post in the S14 Technical section, AP CLUTCH & NISSAN DEALERS.
In the meantime I'm going to cause as much damage to the courtesy and physically possible! :D
