If I get a laptop http://www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/rl/value4u/p.asp# Its only got usb so how do I transfer files to my pc for printing? ( my printers not got usb) I thourght I could go usb-usb but you can't get a cable like that ( a-a) Help b4 I spend my money!!!
You could either use serial to serial transfer, requiring a serial cable but pretty much every PC has a serial port so that's not a problem to actually do. Speed will be equivalent to 2 x 56k modem, not particuarly fast but windows used to, and should still have, some Direct Cable Connection software to let you share files and that.
Other choice is to network the two machines together but if the laptop doesn't come with a network card you will need to get one for it, same with the Desktop, so taht's a bit of a pricey-er option but faster and more useful for other things, like LARGE file transfers if needed.

Theres the problem ,this sub notebook thingy ( that I quite like ) doesnt have a serial. I have found a usb to serial adaptor but its £30, suppose I could email stuff to myself its only gonna be word files....
Yes, that would be a work-around :)

Does this seem too cheap to be true?

What about using a USB pen drive to transfer files? They work well and look as cool as feck.
What size files are you after transfering?
