Hemel has one as well, look at this baby. it's a pain in the arse when ther's lots of people who dont know how to use it, you can go either way around it.

I think paul is going to introduce andyf to it next time he's down here :D:D
The Hemel Magic Roundabout is odd... but fun :D
The Swindon one looks great, you can easily use a different route and overtake any numpty's that join and get all confused.

I had it previously bookmarked for a Canadian guy I talk to who is immensely impressed by roundabouts and wishes Can/USA had more of them. Although I don't think any roundabout in existance will cater for a rush hour 4x4xbiggerthanyourhouse rush.

This is the Swindon magic roundabout, between London and Cardiff, near Southampton I think.
Philips is represented in Southampton.
In the center of the roundabout, the rotation direction is the same than in France, but outside it's perfectly british.
Magnificent !!!! :D
A good place to scratch its 200. :p
Imagine some 17-yr old hairdresser coming across that for the first time on her driving test... :D :D :D
Best one ever is the one in Colchester near the Tescos near Hythe. It's 5 roundabouts is a huge oval a bit like that and apparently one morning it was one way, then in the afternoon it was two way and there were loads of crashes etc!!! excellent.

this is quite an acurate description by the bbc
Hemel Magic (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/a381089)
You can with some luck get some pretty impressive speed up through there.
As Paul is constantly taking the piss out of me from my ansestral rout in the northish, I hope he reads this, especialy the last line and repents :D:D:D

Shut it farmer Palmer. :D
Heres a quote about Boston....
The Worst Things
Glad I got away from the god forsaken place, the average persons family tree only has one branch!!! nothing realy happens there it's just a spot in the barren flat boring landscape. basicaly the town that time forgot.
heroin problem saturday night aggro
Boston has a very high percentage of inbred yokels - avoid at all costs.
There is always a lot of trouble at the weekends, not enough policing and bouncers that are maybe too friendly to the 'bad guys'. The interbred Bostonains and their chunky boots, crown earrings and long blonde (or maybe yellow) hair. They'll show you the best alley ways!
All the people that are still drinking in Carpenters Arms despite the fact they left school 10 years ago. Also on that note, all the people that went to University just to end up back in Boston doing data entry jobs. Bloody Muppets
The car parks, there are so many to choose from, but they're always fun. The other worst place is the market place on a wednesday in the summer. It's always full of tourists doin the "market walk"(slow, slow, slower, slower, stop).
To the person that said the worst thing is the girl guide and boy scout movement: 1) They are two seperate movements 2) The Scouts are called the Scout movement 3) You're probably too old to know that I suppose 4) Do you have any idea what they actually do? I suppose you're probably too boring to think things like abseiling, archery, backwoods cooking, camping, swimming, sports, pioneering, assualt courses, climbing, and having fun with mates is actually fun and interesting. 5) I suppose the place would be much better off without Scouts and Guides helping the community eh? Instead, lets either not bother at all, or pay someone else to do it. Good idea? I think not. 6) I also suppose you'd rather see kids out on the streets, trashing peoples houses, wrecking the traffic lights (which puts your tax up), smashing up shops, smashing up the street furniture (which puts your tax up), destroying the phone boxes, etc, etc, etc. Good plan - not.
The GIRL GUIDE AND BOY SCOUT MOVEMENT; OLDRIDS (tis sooooo sad...It's just a corner shop and people think it's a department store. I go in book shops regularly that are bigger than that place!). BRATS...i.e. BHS Girls that think they own the place.(BRATS ARE BRATS..Being at BHS/BGS doesn't make you any less of a BRAT!) BLACKFRIARS - again = sad and snobbish and SMALL.
Farm labour provides around 80% of local employment and pays appallingly and workers have very few rights. This must change!
nen maate, yis, ovver yon side, dacker down, sneck the door, paarkin yer caar... the wonderfully lyrical boston accent, of course...
No by-pass! I don't mean that detrimentally. Boston is a nice place (if you're into its historical background), but if you need to get to the other side of it by road it's a nightmare! Numerous traffic lights have been installed to make an awful journey worse. I live just to the south of Boston and what would be a fifteen minute journey as the crow flies, takes me closer to forty minutes. Come on Boston - get on to the planners for a new bridge over the Haven!
Oldrids, Oldrids downtown. However, i'll let the pescod hall rermain because of its historic standing.
Peoples narrow minded attitudes and the lack of advancement and development.
Lack of a bye pass means it is an unwelcome bottle neck for people passing through the town.
Full of Americans in Summer, saying "Gee, we have a Boston back home." They don't know we have a New York, eight miles from our Boston, and ours was there first!!
Everybody knows everbody - so don't do things you shouldn't
