I've got a mate who wants one but says they are Jap only cars. Thought they were UK cars as well?

Anyone know?

Jap only as far as I know.

Why does your mate (or anyone for that matter) want one?

She's got a Fiat Coupe Turbo and she finds it too lardy around town. Fine on the motorway when the power is there but otherwise a bit lacking apparently...

I thought the power in an FTO was lacking all the time?

They were never officially sold new, but they were imported used 'semi officially' by Ralli-Art UK and sold through Mitsubishi dealers.

They are not that underpowered. A little under 200hp standard on the 2.0 Mivec versions. But thats going to be your lot unless you want to supercharge or turbocharge it.

I'll see if I can get her to take Minty's

GF said I could buy it (minty's) yesterday but I can't justify £13k's worth of car sitting by my house for 5 or 6 days a week while a £2k pug is driven around :(

Still, if she went for it, I may just need to have a lend :D

I agree with Papa - a mate of mine borrowed one and took me for a spin - seemed quite rapid, and the engine note :smitten: :smitten:
I could've been tempted, except they appear to have made an error in the design stage and the engine is 90 degrees out of true :wack:

Only consider MIVEC
Only consider Manual
Only consider the GPX or the GPrV
Even then your getting 190bhp-200 max (and a girlie car IMO)

Nice car, if you can find a good one!

I was thinking of buying one after the 200sx, but everyone I drove was shite, but then every jap import i've been in has been at the very best, a little tatty.
