and as you lot are the most knowledgable people i know with this sort of stuff, thought id ask here, answer id get from any toyota boards would be "take it to toyota" which is not an option as i havent wone the lottery recently, anyway:

crank shells, pretty sure mine are fooked (we are talking mr2 here not sx for those who joined late ;)) and i wanna get me hands dirty. Having spoken to a few people it doesnt sound that hard to do the take apart and reassemble bits, sending the crank off to be ground etc and new shells. Is this correct? or is there some hidden pit fall just waiting to swallow me?

Any info greatly required, and anyone local to wiltshire who wants to help me at the weekend even better :d beer and BBQ provided :p
