Both myself and my brother have both picked up R reg S14a's this week, his is black and mine is mauve. We are pretty clued up on general stuff but not so on the more technical aspects of repair, not to mention the time element means I am now on the lookout for a good garage to carry out servicing and repairs on our cars.

We are in the Llanelli/Swansea/Carmarthen area. Must be someone who knows these cars round here and doesnt charge the earth!

Anyway, wave if you see us!

Chris has been known to get his hands dirty occasionally - he should be able to help

Living near Llanelli but dont mind travelling for good work. Most stuff we could handle but never having owned a turbo'd car before some things are new!

If you want somewhere a bit closer try Nisstec in LLansamlet.

Nisstec in Llansamlet are very expensive compared to Chris, PDHANNEY went there to have his boost gauge fitted and they made a right bodge of his pillar mount pod its all jagged and they actually cut his Frame work on the car to get the pillar to fit and it looks like it was done with a stanley knife and wonkey hand....Terrible job, I went to them 3 months previous with the same Pillar mount and Pod and they did a cracking job, so I guess it depends who is working on your car.

And no matter what you ask to have done even a tiny job they charge £40 so I learned to do fuel pump , DV etc myself they are only 20 min jobs anyway.

Yep, Nisstech are good for servicing etc. but wouldn't ask them to do any modding on the car. They were adamant there is only 1 cat in 14a for example, so not sure they know everything about the cars. Also, don't seem to have any shims on my brake pads after having some Ferodos fitted there (£36! have since taken them off and re-fitted them myself in 5 mins).
Are cheaper than the crappy local dealerships though - DO NOT GO TO J+J!!!!! They asked me if mine was a Diesel while looking for the Chassis number.

Definately not Nissan! We can do most stuff ourself but when time is a factor or it is something like a clutch change/headgaskets then its goint to a garage.

My brother is a panel beater so bodywork and stuff will be no problem, just the tricky mechanicals.

I have had some work done in Nistec and would definately go back !

Had front and rear pads changed for £40.

Chris knows his way around a 200 better than most so it's well worth the trip even the drive up and back is worth it lol
