Can I take a wild stab in the dark and say you are running IE6?
Microsoft saw fit to disable cookies by default in IE6 unless its from a trusted domain and obviously just by the people who run this BBS I know I wouldnt trust them....
So what you can do is enable cookies by default for all sites, or when you attempt to log in to this site the bottom right hand corner of the browser should have a No-Entry sign type thing, double click that and then select the site you want to allow cookies for and then select Allow cookies.
That should sort it.

Thanks mate, i think iv'e sorted it now, managed to find an around the houses method, which seams to have worked ! but have tried your method to, so i hope it's all ok from now on!:)
oh and yes IE6 it is!!!
I quite like this board..
IE6 on both machines and no problems ... At least not from direct access.. I did notice when I got a PM notification thru hotmail address, and hotmail views the link within itself, it asked me to log in then

Hmmm, for some reason my computer has started doing the same. I'm a semi-idiot with computers, so where/how do I do this cookie thing?? Step by step if you will:)
hey mr choochoo, erm im deffo no expert mate, but i had this prob. are you using this internet explorer 6 type thing? bottom right of the screen, you should have an eye with a one way sign, double right click, a dialogue box should pop up as if by magic, its all about security, its self explanatory can enter specific sites to enable these cookie things to show themselves. if your not on ie6 play about with the security settings until you find the cookie jar.
honestly mate if i can do it any fooker can.:D
