I want to change job, no secret there. Day to day is bad.
Occasionally I get something good, not often.

Saw a job that I thought WOW. Phoned up. Turns out the website has displayed the job even though it is 18months out of date.

Thinking of transferring to be a trainee engineer. Got my hopes up. Now told that the post isn't really aimed at a trainee, they need someone who can pick up and run (probably could do that anyway). So no joy there.

You know what? Everything I try jsut gets thrown back in my face. I'm tired, I'm angry but too fed up to do anything about it.

Sorry to rant guys, that's better

Yeah, I suffered that one ages ago.
I went for an aptitude test for some 'puter training thing. Walked the test, only to be told I didn't have any experience.

I could have told them that, and saved everyone the hassle....:rolleyes:

it does not matter what you do for a living mate, you will always get board of it, theres not many people who can actually do what they enjoy, professionally. just keep doing your numbers on a saturday night, then spend your time doing what you love. thats the dream that keeps me going thru the day.

In principle, you are right.
However, if my co. wasn't run by a fkhead and staffed by people with NO creative urge (we're an editorial agency... go figure!) then it might be better.
Something fast past, varied, different, good dynamic people... THat's what I want and I know they exist coz I worked for one (tho not in editorial capaciy hence my transferring)

Cant tell u how many jobs ive went for in the past few months.
Gave up searching soley for a job in my trade a few months ago and just went for anything, call centres, distribution, factory work.

Got around 15 differant interviews in the last couple of weeks for the above.
Each time it came back "ur experience isnt relevant" or "ur over qualified"

I had sent them my CV to get the f'in interviews so they already knew what my qualifications and experience was.

To put it really mildly, i was ****in p!ssed off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ur right starionman, i feel better too after my wee rant:)
