Anyone going to Bug Jam instead of Billing and does anyone going to Billing fancy a trip to the pod for the racing and show and shine on the sunday, the lineup of race cars looks good with Super Modifieds running as well as the vw classes?
Mart - slightly off topic, but whats the deal with these skirts? I havent as yet received the cheque and you havent told me if I should bring em to Billing or not...
Who is running this these days? Is it still presided over by George thingy, the twonk (imho) from TVW?

yeah I was on the TVW board when it all fell apart.
Quite amusing actually as I pissed a lot of people off very quickly LOL Well the board had been self destructing for about a year...

****ing bugjam, went there many years ago to enjoy the bug scene and the racing etc but had to go in my Capri as the beetle my mate had broke down a day or two before :rolleyes:
I spent the weekend fighting mostly as the car got targeted my mindless moron ****'s who decided a Ford shouldnt be at "their" show :furious:
TWATS of the highest order :nod:
Still must admit to having fond memories of slapping some nobber about for throwing a beer can at my car and running some other idiots foot over for trying to grab the wheel arch and turn the car over singlehandedly, whilst moving :rolleyes:

Thats the reason I left the scene, the arse-ish-ness that was going on. Some of them were OK but most seemed to be a bunch of elitest tw@ts...

Been going to Bug Jam for the last 13 years and only been 3 times in my bug, never had any bother about being there in a nissan, ford, rover etc.
you guys must have been unlucky, every large gathering has its share of scum.
So what goes on at Bug Jam, apart from the racing.

Throwing beer cans at cars coz they aint air cooled, pointing people towards st johns ambulance coz they have a mashed up face with a fist imprint on it, trying to turn over cars that have radiators, pointing people towards St johns ambulance coz they have flat feet :rolleyes: That kinda stuff
In the evening it was mostly beer drugs, loud music and girlies with their tits out.
The evening was far superior to the daytime. I get the feeling that I was targeted at the time coz the pod was douing a RWYB and I kept going up against teh VWDRC and beating them LOL :D

Rude Dog what year was it you went to Bug Jam? I've been going for years as stated above and have never seen anything like what you describe, the worst I've seen or even heard of since I've been going is the usual festival crimes, tents robbed and the odd dodgy drug dealer.
Years ago there was 1 Bug Jam that was a nightmare, BBC2 had a programme called Def 2(I think) it made a big fuss about the show and alot of idiots turned up and kinda lost the plot and there was a lot of vandalism to cars and the Pod, but that was in the mid eighties.
Bug Jam is the best car show in the country, good racing, good nightlife, good show and shine and the best atmosphere of a race event crossed with a festival, only reason I'm going to Billing instead is cause I have my 200 on the road and my bug aint finsihed, and that I've got more friends going to Billing, I'll stilll be taking my 200 to the Pod on Sunday and will be surprised if it gets a second glance, most of the cars on the strip would wipe the floor with it.
I can't recommend checking out Bug Jam enough, the worst thing I'd say about it is the queues and the toilets.

All part of lifes rich tapestry mate LOL. I left in one piece so cant have been all bad LOL :D
