we use an app called collage to talk to a server in holland. from all other sites around the world it works fast. to us it takes 5 mins. I have run a packet capture on it and get.
www http -> 2775 syn packet length 167
data (13 bytes) length 71
(end of header) expires 01 Jan 1980 00:00:00 GMT length 167
this loops for 3:30 mins and then just works. but very slowly with long pauses as it goes round this same loop. :confused:
there is plenty of bandwidth spare, it is the same from different clients. It just appears that the header is getting an old datestamp, but just to our site.
