Reading the Chav sticker thread made me think of my earlier cars and well.. the less than tasteful things I did to em.
So whats the worst thing you have done to a car??
Mine was to my first car.. it was a 1.1c J reg metro and I had neon blue washer jets and led brake light, also in blue.. Why??? I have no idea now.
Go on be honest. As I doubt you will get much worse than mine.
done nothing bad to any of my car
only had one

Worst thing I ever did to my car was put it in a wall backwards
Oppsss... I reversed mine into my house once.. My one and only real driver error.. only had a small dint in the bumper..
1 car.. makes me feel abnormal. I have been driving on a full licence for 19 months and it took me 8 months before I went for my test and I have had 17 cars. ( Not changed due to crashing, just through getting bored or fancying a change)
P.s Thing that made me cry the most was sticking my freshly painted car into a ditch and hedge at curborough after finding my brake fluid had boiled... I wasnt a happy bunny but my pride was hurt more than my car.

I sprayed my fiesta's dashboard blue :wack:
Looked nice for about 2 days then it all started flacking and it was a mixture of blue and grey :D

Deliberately crash it into a carrier to avoid a head-on collision with a Punto that locked up and skidded onto my side of the road  .
Taking a spray-can to the wheel-arches after I'd welded and filled them (wonky on one side  :annoyed: ) was necessary to stop it rusting, but regrettable in that it looks horiffic  (still haven't sorted it :smash: )

I don't do stickers or non-standard cosmetic mods, as I like it to look really discrete.

Now I must cringe...
Fitting an Astra GTE bumper to my Astra 1.3... in a black colour on a red car.. :( :o

Into a wall forwards.
No seatbelt = head through windscreen
Thank god, no damage to myself (although polo was a write off). Won't be tempting fate by finding out if I'm that lucky again
Tiger stripes on my old XR3i....didn't actually put them on there, bought it like that!!!!!
Was only 18 though....

Drive it over a treestump, sideways

I have had my revenge on it though, the builders working on the site just to the left have now ripped the stump out to widen the entrance :D
Put a stick-on rally style number plate on the bonnet of a Renault 5, then put my name on a plate where the original was... :o .... then put bigger tyres on the back thinking it would handle better, 135's front, 185's back.......
:hurl: being 17 my only excuse!
crash into the back of someone so slowely that all it did was crack my number plate. The resulting whiplash claim from his passengers means I can't get insurance anymore  :annoyed:

That looks suspiciously like the entrance to the Mich....
Were you playing on the roundabout by any chance ?
:D
I did this one properly a couple of years though :wack: http://img55.photobucket.com/albums/v169/lilben/batteredcar.jpg
My sideways attempt went a wee bit wrong :smash:
No tasteless mods yet I'm happy to say :)

damm theory what were you doing to end out there? i am surprised it didnt roll if you hit the curb sideways!!!

Hit the Armco at about 50mph. diesel on the road, coming up to the roundabout at a junction, car didnt turn just went straight, didnt help that there was 5 people in the car who prolly doubled its weight! (pug 205). Scary moment.
my other main mistake was running an R5GTT on 19PSI with no other mods apart from a cone filter, and an exhaust....
I was 3rd party only as well
Put a set of Halfrauds seat covers and a furry sterring wheel cover on my Allegro cos the seats and wheel were worn. With the benefit of hindsight it would have been a better investment to scrap the car.
I've bent a rear passenger swing arm due to my poor drifting ability......
I once lost control in a straight line in my first silvia. I had drift spec wheels on and it spun the wheels at 60 in 3rd down a lane with large curbs.....Oh look another swing arm fooked. 4 days to repair......That taught me not to be an arse.
But in all the worst think I've ever done to a car was to take the poor thing to a certain modification company in Essex..
damm theory what were you doing to end out there? i am surprised it didnt roll if you hit the curb sideways!!!
yea I was silly and thought I could drive like Colin Mcrae in the pissing rain... was going way too fast to flip it... plus that car was decked. Such a shame, it was a great car and it's how I ended up wanting the 200sx.
Her name was Michelle and she was a bit large.
took the seats out of my first beetle, the new ones were wreong and the old ones wouldn't go back in....
damn thing.
Otherwise I've never done anything tasteless.

Me too! Don't the little buggers fly well?
I also had a Mk2 Escort Lowered on Rostyles with insulation tape crosses on the headlamp glasses (circuit racer style)
I thought I was the Dogs in it :wack:
By the way, to add to the sadness it was metallic bronze with a brown vinyl roof :o
(can we get a better embarrassed smiley?)
Looking at the way this threads headed, I'd better post up my dead S13 pix

puff, didn't do it properly or have a good enough bridge... I killed it well and proper on the first attempt, practically landed on the front grill.. it eventually ground to a halt still the right way up though :D
Put my previous car into the barriers at 90 mph.... I hurt like hell for the 2 weeks after the accident....

Four, there's a cracking road near me with about 10 yumps over a mile, great fun, killed the fiesta eventually by putting it in a ditch :D

Put a set of Halfrauds seat covers and a furry sterring wheel cover on my Allegro cos the seats and wheel were worn. With the benefit of hindsight it would have been a better investment to scrap the car.
Yep, it would have been - I got £50 from the scrappy for my Allegro. :D
Out of interest, how did you find a square furry steering wheel cover?
The worst thing I did was buy a particular car in the first place - a Nova 1.3 SR :hurl:
Bought an MG Maestro thinking it was hard as nails then crashed it racing what turned out to be a car full of car theives. Police not amused, cells kinda cold!
As promised, pix of my dead s13.........................
ouch !!!

A Taxi pulled out on me, from about 2 car lengths away - plainly I was unable to stop!
I spun the daft bugger like a top. Got out, had a fag and had the car towed away
Neck hurt like buggery for a few months.......
Mind you they've offered me a very good price on the car :)

Worst thing I ever did was write my new Fiesta RS off by understeering into a lampost in the wet at 90 mph. Lucky the curb threw us off line slightly otherwise we'd of hit the new thicker replacement lampost that had been put in a few days before as well as the old one. Dont think we'd have been able to walk away from that one.
Actually 2nd thoughts its putting crappy neon washer jets on the car :o
crappy neon washer jets

Compensation?
The saddest thing I ever did was trim the interior of my old red & white mini cooper with...
... wait for it...
black crushed velvet !!
Needless to say I have no photos, but it was nice to stroke :wack:

Negelcting to uprate the brakes on my old S2 RSturbo, Biiiiig round about + mahoosive brake fade + big curbs on round about = sump removal in one second along with broken crank, rods, front wheels, smashed gearbox, front suspension, came off the other side with front wheels that were almost cut in half :wack:
I put the 'Laser' badge from the side of a Sierra on the back of my 1.1 L Festa
Oh actually thinking about it, the worst one had to be the luminous green flexible ariel :hurl:
WTF was I thinking :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:

Compensation?
Yes.....but I hate myself for it.
I only went for it because I thought they wouldn't pay out on the car.
They have so I'll be 100% honest when I go for my medical. Its up to them then if they think I've suffered anything. It WAS really painful and disabling for a while but its a lot better now - only hurts if I'm on the PC for a long time!
buy it , in the first place
maybe one day I'll teach you to stick a fookin for sale sticker in the window then  why you'd keep a car for over a year when you "hate it so much" I dont know :censored:
lol Arry was expecting your post to be "took it to SE" !

god giddy wit 2 lassies on my boot and roof, didnt realise it would dent, got arse dents all over it.... shoulda learnt a lesson from the rule about keepin humpin to the bonnet of a car.
erm, showed a pair of GOATS and then a rocky ditch the meaning of VTEC power, incidentally i came out without a mark.... odd........
took my front VT lip of my civic which left a metal 'blade' underneath, then went over a crow at 80mph cleanly decapitating it leaving half a crow standing on the road.... in my defence it was straight after a corner and i didnt have enough room to react
street raced a rabbit down a straight standing start...... i was the only one left standing.
deliberately tried out the strength of my bumper on another rabbit
blue led washers on my civic
5" tailpipe on my civic
TSW venoms on my silvia
whistled at a women and said she was hot, then realised it was a guy.
hugged a women n said she was hot in my mates uni flats, then realised it was a guy when he turned round (come on he was 5' with blonde hair down to his feet)
last two not car related but equally embarresing as driving around with TSW venoms, addin em for fun :D:D:D
i sprayed viper stripes along the bonnet across the roof and down the back of my old capri 1600 ls in white primer  and maskin taped the hole in the front of the wing  and fitted blue fluffy carpet in it :p
.can't say ive done anything realy :D :D
i was   and was given the car for replacing some front wheel bearings on a cav
I opened my S13 engine bay and showed it a spanner and screwdriver!
It hasnt been the same since! :wack:

wrecked a MKI Festa by jumping it off a hump back bridge :D
strangely, I did the same thing to a 1.6 meastro! hit a very steep railway bridge at 95, got about 9 feet of air, hit the floor so hard all 4 shocks came through the mounts, the sump ripped off, along with both bumpers, the exhaust, various pipes and bits and the rear screen fell out!
car then skidded for 200 yards on it belly into the middle of the local bypass! :annoyed:
Shame, I kinda liked that ugly old bus! It had old style disabled driver stickers and beaded seat covers! I had converted it to twin weber carbs (ripped off of an old MG version, twin 40DCNFs) with no filters, so it went ok and sounded phenomenal!!!

My flatmate knacked his parent's Rover Metro doing that too. He managed to bounce the engine off the underside of the bonnet (denting it) and break the drive to the front wheels. His girlfriend, his passenger at the time who found it hilarious, soon left him to lodge a rather substantial whiplash claim :indiff: .
Unsuprisingly he also killed their Rover 214, a Seat Ibiza (engine fell out going off-road) and a Land Rover (on the way to a garage to P/X it he intentionally drove with a seized rear brake and managed to virtually take the wheel off  ). Damaged a hire-car continually ramming it into gear without the clutch over the course of a week.
He's not getting anywhere near my car :D .
8am after a nightshift, wet road, oily patches on tight corner ...

I've been suprisingly careful around that corner since!!!!
