its a bit of a terrfying view of the mindset of todays britain really - 2 headlines - one is bordering on isolatory racism, and the other is indicating that we are moving towards some kind of neo-fascist martial law state to deal with the immense crime problem with have in some areas of the UK...

I'd be interested to know where they got teh stats from. i think i've got a copy downstairs, i'll have to have a look.

Does seem like a frightening stat indeedy - I must say it's surprisingly high but there is still a lot of racism in this country as a whole... very scary how small minded seemingly normal people can be.
