Just about to walk out of my job,

wondered if anyone now of any jobs or can recommend anywhere to look

I've had a years expirence of running a Network (not soley)

and quite computer literate.

I work in a school and the moneys stupid and the staff take the piss :smash:

try and look for IT sales, 40k basic 80k ote audi company car etc, IT experience is normally preferred over sales experience ,

Sales is prob harder than you think...

If you are a techy, I would go for pre-sales before straight sales... Then you get the commission, company car, salary, but do presentations and demos etc, assisting the 'real' salesman... Once you have the sales side of it cracked, you can go on to be a full time salesman... Sales with techy background usually do quite well too, as they can sell proper working solutions rather than some pap that won't work but costs a lot...

some say it is gift... but you can learn it good thing with sales is that you can be doing it for a short time and still out pace many experienced reps, i should know i have been doing it for the last 6 years old boys hate me for it, in an interview they will test and try your skills, you need to be one step ahead, look for around 3 interviews before job offer, read up on the sales techniques , one of the only industrys where you can make doctor money without university, but requires a lot of confidence and a skin of rock sometimes, but benefits are excellent in these roles i have won holidays, t.vs, bonus of £1000 just for doing my job, but the driving can be boring

yes, but like all jobs, if you dont do the work you want have a job, sales is very mentally driven, and once your emotions start playing up, it can turn everything upside down, thats why i would advise more of a account manager position, then new business, i have spent 1 year in account management, after 5 years in cold calling, residential-and business, man is it relaxed, targets are there but they are more of a maintanance than an exceed
