Any recommendations for Ireland?

Hey,
Am looking into going to Ireland for a long weekend for my 21st in October but have never been so dont know the best places to go. :confused:
Dublin is the obvious first stop off, but can anyone recommend anywhere else, any particular pubs/hotels, etc???
Any help would be much appreciated.

The South West Corner if you want beauty, peace and lovely people.
Ring of kerry is gorgous.

There is a pub literally at the end of the slipway from Cork Harbour... can't remember the name right now tho - but as you come off the boat you can't miss it.
Its fantastic place - wonderful food/drink, music and great rooms.
