i has sorta a point...
first of all the alloys look too small for the car.. but im sure there the best for sprinting
and the car looks even more slab sided because of the lack of body stripe :D
does mine look like a lada on 15"s ? :D

Why is it that loads of people seem to love these old cars? As far as I can see they dont look particularly good, they have terrible MPG, must require loads of maintanence and dont go very fast
What is it Im missing? (and please dont say heritage - I used to buzz off my commodore 64 but I wouldnt try to do a days work using one :p)
because without them your car would not be here
my car was the first ever with 16V in a preduction car ...
a classic should have something different about it not just the fact its old ... a vauxhall chevette 1.3 is not a classic

because the cars have individuality, style, grace and character.
Everything else you see on the roads, is just a mould of everything else, uninspiring to drive, look sthe same as the 15 billion other ones, dull dull and dull.
I am sure you drive a 200sx for similar reasons ..... and of course the added performance. :D
My mate had one of these when we were all younger in the mid eighties, it was very fast at the time and would shame many of the younger Ford XR models etc racing around town etc  Used to have a habbit of destroying diffs (although he used to murder it) and the handling didn't seem the best. Very noisey aswell when giving it some. I still have a soft spot for these cars, always liked the quirky looks, and as you say it was the first 16V production car, I think they were a single overhead cam if I remember right operating all 16 valves. Much better BL classic than the mini IMHO as I always thought and still do that they are complete :censored: :hurl:
yep 16v running off one cam on rockers :D
mad but it worked really well
honda then copyed the idea...

How about a Dolomite with a Rover V8? I've seen a few for sale and I always thought they looked like a bit of a laugh. :wack:

you need an 1850 HL for that.... has the same gearbox as the rover V8...
