This ones worth watching to the end as it shows a whole host of the new fatalities :D
Scorpians trademark arm rip returns in new gory glory as does Sub Zero's original fatality with a new twist
Looks awsome cant wait till it comes out
It looks great, I just hope it plays and flows better than the last one.
looks like more of the same old crap
none of the MK games have been any good, not a patch on streetfighter or tekken, relying on stupid fatalities and digitised graphics(back in the day) to draw the punters away from real playable fighters such as SF2 and Tekken

Gotta disagree there mate. MK 2 was the daddy of all fighters and still is. To this day I'm still trying to find an arcade cabinet to grace my front room :D
yea MK2 got my attention for about a week on the Amiga before i went back to Championship Manager :)
Will never be better than Street Fighter 2 tho :)

SF2 was just the same game regurgitated over and over. At least Midway tried to enhance the series, albeit losing their way somewhat. Now theyre churning out the good stuff and what do Capcom offer us???
Streetfighter 2 revisted or some stupid title
More of the same again
SF2 was good, no denying it, as was Tekken, Dead or Alive ;) had its own appeal too :D but MK is the one that drags me back to the console

I've got an MK2 board & cabinet (not the official cabinet though).
MK2 and 3 were really great IMO. As good as Streetfighter 2.
Streetfighter 3, 3rd strike was astonishing. Think I played that more than any other game on my Dreamcast (Soul Calibur included). Incredible music too.

If I'm ever in Newcastle can I come round for a few bouts :D

Kept meaning to get this for the DC, may have to have a trawl round eBay

Sure, I'll wire it up :D  .
Make sure it's Third Strike. The first 2 versions of SF3 weren't nearly as good. Probably get it for a fiver if you look hard enough.

I still prefer the original SF over the later versions. :notworthy:
The first MK on the Amiga was a revelation, mainly because of the 'gore' factor, however, since then they have really slipped.
When you compare MK to the likes of Soul Calibur, MK doesn't even begin to live up.
Let's face it who can be arsed with moves like up up down down left left square triangle up left circle right left right down up left x?
Soul calibur's moves are not easy to learn but they are free flowing and intuitive.....sorry but MK is flogging a dead horse.

I can be bothered, the efforts worth it for a cool finishing move
And lets face it, trying to knock out a combo mid bout is another dose of the same regardless of the game :)
Soul Calibur on the dreamcast was top stuff :)
MK on the Amiga was shite, the only playable versions were the arcade and SNES versions
MK2 was good on the Amigo tho, but had too much disc swappin!

Hmmm Soul Calibur was never my cup of tea  No idea why though, just couldn't get into it :( Lush grafix tho

Too slow on my PC, but it looks half-decent.
Id love an original Mk2 arcade machine to remember the good old days as i was in games master magazine for being the MK2 champ at tamworth Quasar!
But lets not forget the legendary KILLER INSTINCT!!!
Rude Dog

OMG YES!!!
Killer instinct....eleventy million hit Ultra Super Mega COMBO LOL
Cue loads of mentalists hitting random buttons then trying to convince you its all planned :wack: :D
SC on the dreamcast was great but SC2 on the PS2 is even better - more moves than the repetetive, boring and frustrating MK - the blocks and counters are better, graphics are better, it's faster......in fact it just pi55es all over MK!
I'm looking forward to Tekken 5! Try playing Soul calibur for a fortnight and then play Tekken 4 - it's as if Tekken 4 is in slow mo.
And when it came to arcade fighters - SF kicked MK's ass...
Of course the ultimate was Kung Fu.....kick kick kick kick kick punch punch punch punch kick kick punch duck kick punch

Marvel vs Capcom 2 (the one with the 3D backgrounds) was a great laugh on the Dreamcast too.
Cheers Abaddon, reminded me to seek out a copy of Soul Calibur 2 for my Gamecube  .

Always enjoyed the King of Fighters series on the Neo Geo which came over briefly to DC. These seriously need re releasing on the X box

Yes, they were good. I've got a Neo-geo arcade cartridge unit too :Plug: :D
(haven't got a king-of fighters cartridge for it though  ).
Actually, I've got a Dreamcast KOF game somewhere. Think it's a '? VS ?' one, with 3D backgrounds  . Must dig it out at some point (my brother brought me a load of £5 and bootleg DC games home recently).

That'll be Capcom VS SNK then. That is a quality game, gonna have to dig me DC out now
IIRC this was the game that drove my Mrs to force me to put it away LOL. :D
Oh and SF 3 3rd Strike is about £15 on eBay  Gotta be done though

:D That's the one!
Be warned, SF3.3 plays more like the first SF2 than any of the super/alpha / vs follow-ups (it's a bit slower). Worth it for the music and animation alone though (crank it up  ).
