Pug 306 Question...

Being bought private (I am buying): -

•1998 S Reg
• 89,000 miles
• 3 owners
• some service histroy
• cam belt change at required time
• mot
• new exhaust
• Diesel (apparently no turbo?)
• £2k asking price

a) a fair price and b)I thought that 306's were turbo diesel only - is this the case or am I wrong?

Its probably the 1.9 non turbo mate I had the same engine in my old PUG 206 van, now I have abrand new 1.4 turbo (HDI) and I know which engine I would prefer.

But yeah 2k seems ok.

The 306 came also with a 1.9 non turbo diesel engine.. Watch out for the Cylinder head and head gasket..They suffer from them.. Dont expect anything from it though...... THEY ARE SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :no: :no:

Off the line maybe but in a pug 206 van that weighs nowt once you wound it up it went pretty well for a deseasel.
