View Full Version : Film - Godsend - pants
We went to see it last night. Dont bother going yourself, it sucks.
Very very very *yawn* slow
Cra@p plot, full of unrealistic coincidences and relies on BIG NOISES to make you jump because its not scary in the slightest.
Pants, 3/10
Was going to watch it tonight from the comfort of a remote, might have to watch something else instead.
If anyone has not seen Sex Lives Of The Potato Men yet watch it, its soooo funny (Johnny Vegas etc)
The BIGGEST film of the summer to watch is The Chronicles Of Riddick, aka pitch black 2. It still stars Vin D as is a class sci-fi film, best ive seen in ages, oh and spiderman 2 is pants, at least 30 mins too long
farenheit 9/11 looks good too

not until August in the cinema
Watched Spider man 2 last night and I agree it is pants.
spider-man 2 looked absolute shite on the trailer
the first one was crap, and the new one looks exactly the same as the old one!!
i wish the films were being made by someone who had a passion for the character
Sex lives of the Potato men has the funniest line out of any film ever.
Crook: Dave you know what id like to do
Vegas: What?
Crook: Id like to kill a panda and then sh*g it
Vegas: Why would you wanna kill it
crook: If you dont kill it Dave its gonna bite ya
:) :) :)

I don't think there's anyone with more passion for the character than Sam Raimi with the exception of Stan Lee
i agree riddick is bloody brilliant
but i also loved spidey 2, bloody fantastic and slightly better than the first

im being forced to go and see godsend tonight with my g/f
i hate films that have loads of stupid obvious coincidences and events to make the storey work, they reallly annoy me, especially when stuff happens that isnt explained - one of my pet hates

Ron Perlman - he was in Alien Resurrection, Chronos, City of Lost Children and that Stella ad on the ship.

And, of course, Blade 2 was directed by Guillermo Del Toro, who also directed Hellboy. He also directed a film called The Devils Backbone which is well worth a look.

saw godsend last night, awful film.
as bren said, lots of loud noises and not actually any really scary bits. also overuse of dragging out the tense moments so long that you find yourself not caring anymore :p
