If Marty emties his PM box and we get my new gearbox and sump gasket fitted tomorrow I MAY consider coming along and letting him ride in the boot :D:p

Have just watched the film Office Space (as previously recommended on SXOC) and have a few new ideas for work.
I shall be at the meet Thursday provided I haven't had to flee the country.

ummmmm, old postoffice pub, 7:30 (i think thats the time), just off J38 the M1, head on the A635 to barnsley and its immediately on your left just past the speed camera sign :)

I got the gaskets .. but I dont think we should try and do it on the car park.
Set Sat aside (with help from the absolutley star man they call Tenman:thumbs:) I expect it will take more than 4 hours .. but hopefully less than 8.

The M62 is currently closed off between junction 24 and 25 due to a bad accident. I imagine it'll be cleared up by the time anyone is heading for the meet but thought i'd post a 'heads up' just in case..

Rain gradually clearing away this evening leaving a mainly dry night with variable amounts of cloud. Minimum temperature 10 deg C (50 deg F).
I'm still going, mainly cos its a rare occasion when I get to drive S13 :D

I've eaten cheap work food ;) and have just enough cash for 1 Beer (I hope £2:40), which is handy as thats all I can have driving.
And am now bored @ work .. browsed all my websites/forums still another hour to kill .. everyone else has gone home. I suppose :rolleyes: I could do some work :eek: to kill the time :smash:

J38 off M1, head towards Barnsley A635, and immediately you will see a sign advertising a police cash machine (speed scamera), look to your left and you will see the old post office pub, take the first left as soon as you pass the sign and follow the little road for about 50 yards to the carpark, watch out for the oversized speed mountains tho on the carpark ;)

ahhhhh, steve, misread you ;)
M180/M18 - head for M62 leeds, then at J27 (i think its this one), head M1 south, then come off the M1 at junction 38 and follow the above instuctions ;) the pub is litrally 30 seconds off the motorway ;)

Was gonna set off about 7, is about 20 mins to Post Office Pub will PM you mobile no, just come off at j1 head take Rotherham turning then will see a mc'ds will meet you there. (you can see mc'ds from motorway) :thumbs:

An interesting evening.
Most of the late bunch are willing to sell themselves into medical research.
My gaskets refused to blow on cue (I think they're shy).
I'm getting better at performing VVT on demand.
Graceland will need a bigger zorst to compete. One of tonight's would swallow a leg.
Never get a lift with Nobby.
When you've been sat in the pub, walking back towards a long line of unattended S14s looks spooky.
And we have been promised that the neon washers will be dealt with.

I Thought the meet went well, and looks like the 3rd Thursday of the month is the agreed date.
Venue was nice, like a smaller Mascrat but the HUGE but stealth speed bump on the way in caught a few out as it looks 1/3rd the size that it is.

Nobby is a funny guy, but his girlfriend was trying to deny she was with him, he has the mods most of us would like but I think a roll cage be be the next mod he needs, sound more a case of "when" rather than "if" he may need it.
The neon washers of the nameless offender (I'm not cruel enough to mention names) only come on with full beam due to being installed wrong .. although of course any install of neon washers is "wrong". Will the real :censored: please stand up :whip: and admit they are his :ghey:

I did pop into the car park on my way back from birming ham but there was just Jon's and a couple of other 14/a's there at the time and I guess you were all in the pub. I had a colige with me so I coulnt stop for long and pop in the pub.

LOL, chill Kev, only 14 I've broken Mani studs on was Aitch's and that was 115K miles and tubby had never been off on it.
has your exhaust ever been off? its exhaust studs I'm expecting to have problems with if anything.
oh and getting oil feed back in again.
could of course prepare by going round liberally with the WD40 on all the studs and bolts that are gonna be shifted tonight

Downpipe was replaced with a nice fat 3.5" one 13K ago .. in Feb, so shouldnt be a problem.

Well it's happened, the meet that is. turned up as late as feck! Missed all the S13 crew if that's what you call a garthering of S13? Anyone? Anyone? The S14 crew was a bunch of top boys, If that's not to youth? Are girlfriend invited to the next one or do I leave her at home? So many question. Top night all the same

No Nobby was the fun purply/blue S14 with the blowning turbo gasket, no number plate and a tapping engine. Ar it's stopped raining so I think I'll go and change that there cam pulley?
