View Full Version : Medical/insurance question
Has anyone ever tried to get insured on a high performance car after having their licenses taken away for 12 months, i.e a one off fit then getting their license back after the year?
That's the situation I'll be in next Jan. :annoyed:
By high performance, I mean a 200sx of course.
a mate got banned for 12 months following a 115mph nicking on a 60mph road.
The only way he could do it was to buy a £50 escort ratter, insure himself fully comp allowed to drive any other car, and then register his RS Turbo in his girlfriends name....
Got three years ncb on the ratter then switched it back to himself...

Well it's not exactly a ban, I voluntarily returned my license because I was legally obliged too. I had a one off fit, you lose your license for 12months, get it back once you're certified fit to drive by the quack. :)
well thats a medical condition then - which is a seperate insurer question altogether.....
Ask the insurers mate
Some might be ok?
