What is it about Christmas? Not only do you have to buy everyone you know overpriced tacky shiiiite but anything that can go wrong does, Bird loses job, the house decides it's in an earthquake and falls apart and the bloody car breaks. And the only cure is taking the car off the road.. Somehow I don't think a pair of effin' socks is gonna fix it this time..
Please tell me I'm not alone you can't all love xmas.
Newspaper headlines, "Disgruntalled IT person masacres innocent pc's".

Your not alone, I hate christmas with a vengance. I hate the fact that people expect to get some kind of present on a semi pagan/christian festival when they dont have a religious bone in there body.
It's so bloody comercial as well, they start advertising in bloody october thats nearly a 1/4 of a year of ****ty adverts with horrible smiley people. I can see that one year your gonna look at your calender and it will say Dec 25th Christmas day. "Sponcored by Hallmark and coca cola"
Im not usualy this bitter but I just know Im going to come close to killing someone when I have to go find the misses something, kids in the way, pushcairs, old biddies walking at 0.1mph in front of you with no way around them, people who walk in front of you then stop to look at something in the window that they have absolutley no intention of buying.
After queing for half an hour the person in front of you watches all the stuff go through the checkout, waits to hear how much and then spends 5 mins digging for there purse in the bottomless handbag to then only find out that they are 10p short of the full amount in loose change, so they then have to decide which credit card to use http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/mad.gif
And all this after you've just spent best part of an hour trying to park while waiting for doris in her micra to twig on that the steering wheel is actualy in the same postion as the other 300 times she's reversed backwards and forwards into the space therefore she will still come scarely close to the landcruiser next to her.

I was complaining on the phone to my elderly mother the other day about how much I hate Christmas and she says "But it used to be your favourite time of year". For God's sake mother that was when I was TEN, now I'm nearly 43, divorced, throwing half my f@cking salary at the ex wife, my latest lady friend has done the "goodbye" thing ('cos she don't want a bloke with kids), AND to cap it all, Mother: YOU are coming to my house for Christmas! Knowing this was on the cards this year I VOLUNTEERED to work Xmas eve, Xmas day and boxing day. I should be home about 2.00 each day, and with any luck a)dinner will be ready each time, and b)I'll fall asleep soon afterwards and not have to listen to the Old Folks' "Christmas in the War" reminiscences.
Oh, and I also subscribe to all the previous writers' views on why Christmas is crap too.

Xmas is bad because........
Too much money is spent on presents,
Too much money is spent on booze, trying to get into the Xmas spirit,
You have to suffer family visits,
I hate Xmas shopping with about a million fat old women wandering aimlessly around town with their kids in tow, having no idea what to buy but still managing to get in my way when I know what to buy,
I have to think too hard about what to buy other people,
The Sound Of Music,
The Queens Speech,
Being forced to eat the Xmas dinner that your Mum/ Wife has cooked for you when all you really want to do is collapse after drinking stupid amounts of alcohol the night before.
Xmas is good because.......
You have time off work,
Err, no, thats it.
But don't forget that the Great Escape is on TV Christmas Day !!!!!
It's been a whole year, since last seen. Probably several more because of falling asleep after lunch for the past 10 years or so.

I heard an interview with someone who worked in Hamleys - they were saying theyd been doing the christmas thing for a few months now and only had like 5 or 6 christmas hits CDs
Lets see, say each CD is an hour of music, times 6 is 6 hours
3 months of 12 hours a day = 7560 hrs

I get two weeks off for christmas as well. I also get two weeks for easter. Oh and 6 weeks for summer. Oh and I get three week long breaks between these holidays as well. Great hey.

A mate of mine is an Educational Psychologist. So she not only gets to have all the standard school holidays you are crowing about http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif but is also somehow allowed a 5 week holiday entitlement to take during the term!! If that wasn't enough she also structures her own day so her 'working' day (if you can call it that) entials lay ins, shopping trips, gym sessions and trips to the hair dressers unless that is she feels she needs a day off in which case she does sweet F A !!!!

I must agree, having been round Tesco this morning, seeing everyone with pile high trolley's it is very depressing.
I had to get 3 bottles of Champers and some snacks for our bye bye for Christmas drinks. 2 F*c*ing hours it took, tripping over old biddy's, mums with 5+ multi coloured brats. Getting out of the car park was an added stress, can women not reverse ????? Why do car makers put those orange lights on each corner of the car ??? Why bring the 4x4 and try and reverse into a mini space when the mini is at home ???
