F1 @ London...

Went today, got to Regent Strret at about 4pm and was surprised at how busy it was, took a walk down the track then back up to Oxford Strret end, was now alot busier Decided to perch on some barriers that were on the pavement. Waited for 2hours until someone fainted twice infront of us and delayed the whole thing
Finally the cars came past, and OMG, the noise was absolutly AMAZING, incredible sound. Dissapointed that all we got to see was the cars drive past individually and not any form of race/cars together Also the new AMG SLK (safety car) was actually pretty nice too, and sounded great aswell.

Anyway...

it was a sweet event, i've got a couple of phone vids that are a bit shite, but you can make out the ferrari, the bmw.williams zooming past, and the noise is just amazzzzzing :thumbs:

I decided to watch it on live Sky news instead of fighting the crowds. Kinda wished I had gone after all though.

Gotta say, even though he stalled it, Mansell was the man. If he hadn't started off with the donuts, I don't think any of the others would have bothered. I could imagine the other drivers thinking "Blimey, now I've got to do something spectacular. I was hoping for a nice quite pootle round. Who invited him?"

I laughed at luca Badoa's donut attempt which resulted in him nearly running over his pit crew.

The highlight for me was wrestling security guards to stop from being crushed what a bunch of knobs :no:
Also running away from the scafoldding when it started to come away from the wall because of all the people who had climbed up :eek:
But it was all a good laugh and the cars noise was awsome :D

i think I saw you wrestling with security guards? unless this was happening everywhere around the place, outside lilywhites? bit of a tussle there.

I couldn't see jack, and was there from 3.30pm. once the moved the barriers further whilst I was on the phone everyone rushed forward and I missed it. Gutted, but the noise was awesome though! was worth it regardless.

yes it was an event not to be missed!!! brundle did a burn out rite in front of us and the noise was immense!!! :eek: :nod: it was such good fun.

It was a big albainian who didnt under stand what crushed meant so i wrestled passed him and sent a copper to go sprt it out for the rest of you :nod: :whip:

i went to this i was near the start could see them doing the donuts before flying up the road the sound was pretty amazing, i'm glad i went :D :D

A camera phone! :wack: Even a 1.3mp camera phone wouldnt get shots like that. Its a canon powershot a300. Admitidly i only got the one decent shot of a car, the combination of perching on a 1inch thick bar and the cars going so fast didnt really help :(

And no i missed a shot of the bird, fit she was tho :nod: :D

You can get 3mp phones in malaysia and singapore these days apparently, so you never know - it *could* have been one of them. Phones are becoming crzily powerfull these days and they're gonna get a lot better in the next 18 months especially... DirectX9 games are on their way, I kid you not!
